Purpose: I like taco rice, plus its an assignment on DS106 (cooking show) so why not? Yes there will be more assignments coming soon that actually have something to do with the 7 pioneers of this section, but isnt this pioneering right here? I think im doing PIONEER TYPE OF STUFF, taking chances…
How: Watch the video and see. I just used the video recorder on my iphone (Mobile Memex) Uploaded it to my mac through Imovie.
Ingredients: Minced meet, green peppers, onions, chili powder mix, taco powder mix, lemon juice, cabbage, and avocado. Also after plated I used sour cream, cheese, taco sauce, and jalepenos.

Yeah I love Tacos and I live in Japan so Tacos for me is a delicacy, but Taco Rice out here is very popular.

Great job Nick. I think people outside of Japan will appreciate seeing how cramped things can be in kitchens over here. So in addition to giving us a great cooking show, you are also sharing what it’s like to live in Japan.
A couple of points about posting format:
I’d like to see the name of the assignment from ds106 site mentioned in the post. Also the title Cooking Show should appear as a clickable link back to the original assignment. That way viewers can quickly go to see the original assignment description.
Also I’m glad to see you are using the tags. But please note there should be no spaces between the words or between the numbers. The tags should be: VideoAssignments and VideoAssignments274. Unless it’s done exactly like that, your assignment won’t get picked up in the assignment category. If you edit your post, it will all get sorted out the next time the ds106 site updates.
Thanks for the great work. You are tearing it up!

This video is AWESOME! You did a great job on describing how to make this. For someone like me who can’t cook very well, this video is absolutely PERFECT. Thanks for the insight. I always wondered how taco meat got it’s flavor but, NOW I know! Great job.

Really cool! This is the first video assignment that I’ve run across. 😀 Awesome job! I’m inspired to do one now too. Especially since my “kitchen” is so much smaller than yours.
